Man, 81, hit by car in Seaford

An elderly man was left with a head injury when he was hit by a car in Seaford on Tuesday January 14.

The 81-year-old, from Seaford, was struck by a green Vauxhall Astra turning left into Church Street from Clinton Place at 11am.

He was taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton for treatment.

His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The 20-year-old woman driving the Vauxhall was not hurt.

PC Matt Harman from Sussex Police said: “I need to speak to anyone who saw the crash happen or either the Vauxhall or the pedestrian in the moments before the collision.

“If you saw or heard anything please contact us, no matter how small the piece of information you might have is.”
