A man was attacked outside his Crowborough home as he left for work early this morning (Tuesday December 10).

The 47-year old man was set upon by two men in Ghyll Road, Crowborough, at 4.25am.

The men snatched a bag containing several hundred pounds in cash and the victim’s Rolex watch before they fled on foot.

The victim was taken to Pembury Hospital to be treated for an arm injury.

Both men are described as white. One was about 5ft 5in, of stocky build and balding. No weapons or vehicles were seen.

Detective Constable Richard Holder said; “Anyone who was in Crowborough in the early hours of Tuesday morning and saw any suspicious activity is asked to contact us via 101 or email 101@sussex.pnn.police.ukquoting serial 0122 of 10/12. You can also call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
