Man’s body found on the railway line between Buxted and Crowborough

The body of a man was been found on the railway line between Buxted and Crowborough.

British Transport Police and Sussex Police discovered the body at about 9.45 last night.

Paramedics from South East Coast Ambulance Service also attended but the man was pronounced dead at the scene with injuries consistent with being struck by a train.

The man is believed to be in his 40s and from Uckfield.
