Man’s body found in camper van at Mark Cross

POLICE FOUND the body of a man in a camper van in Mark Cross on Saturday morning, February 4.

An off duty officer recognised the van belonging to missing man Mark Harman, who was reported missing from his home in Peacehaven on December 20.

It is believed the van had been parked in the car park for some time.

A police spokesman said: “This is tragic news. We had made extensive enquiries in our efforts to find Mr Harman, including visiting places and homes he was known to have gone to in the past.

“Our deepest sympathies go to his family.”

Police are not treating the death as suspicious. A post mortem has yet to take place and an inquest date has not been set.
