Meerkats scoop top prize

Forget Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise, the real stars of the year were attending the annual Drusillas Park Animal Oscars this week, the most glamorous event of the zoo’s social calendar .

The 2013 Animal Oscars gave recognition to a host of four-legged stars for the enjoyment they have brought to people’s lives. And scooping the top prize were the meerkats.
