Midnight Walk for Martlets Hospice

THE MARTLETS Hospice which cares for patients from across East Sussex is appealing for people to take part in the Midnight Walk in Brighton.

It will raise money for the hospice in Hove which looks after people with terminal and life limiting illnesses.

The event takes place on June 18 in Brighton when over 1000 women will be dressed to kill in flashing bunny ears.

Organiser Antonia Sheperd "It's absolutely not about how quickly you can finish the walk, this isn't a race.

"For most Midnight Walkers it's all about dressing up and spending a night walking through Brighton with friends.

"It's a girl's night out really, except without the alcohol."

The Walk is thirteen miles long.

It starts and finishes at Brighton Racecourse.

Everyone who takes part will receive a Midnight Walk goody bag, medal, refreshments round the course and a delicious breakfast at the end of the Walk.

Antonia added: "A lot of the women who take part in the Midnight Walk are doing it in memory of someone who has passed away.

"Others may not have used the Hospice services themselves however the walk can be an important way of supporting friends who've lost someone."

Register at www.martlets-midnightwalk.co.uk or call the fundraising office for a registration form 01273 747455.

Registration is 12 and walkers are asked to raise as much sponsorship as possible.
