Motorists warned over spree of number plate thefts

Wealden police advise drivers to be extra vigilant following a spate of number plate thefts.

It's thought the stolen plates are used on vehicles involved in crime, for example driving off from garage forecourts.

To crack down on the number of offences police are offering special screws free of charge which cannot easily be undone.
