A freehold site on Bellbrook Park, Uckfield has been bought by the makers of chemical lavatories.

The sale of the 1.19 acre light industrial site at 16 Brambleside has been announced by Ross & Co, Chartered Surveyors and Commercial Estate Agents, and Dalcour Maclaren, Chartered Surveyors, joint agents acting for the previous owners South East Water.

The freehold has been bought by Elsan Limited, whose offices and factory have been next to this site since 1996.

Elsan make chemical toilet sanitation and hygiene products for caravanning, camping and boating.

Eurostar, British Airways and Virgin Atlantic are among their customers.

Established in 1924, Elsan introduced chemical sanitation to the world and continue to pioneer and raise standards in hygiene technology.

The site comprises an 8,500 sq ft modern detached industrial building with ground and first floor offices aand a 20,000 sq ft yard suited for either storage or possible future development.

Elsan can now expand manufacturing capability.
