Gourmet cook John Kenward will be taking a trip down Memory Lane on Thursday, February 6.
He will be talking about Kenward’s, his Lewes restaurant which became something of an institution on School Hill between 1981 and 1990.
He will be joined by some of his staff and former diners at the Artworks Garden Studio in Valley Road, Lewes (from7pm).
The audience will be able to see some of the Good Food Guide reviews, look at the menus and hear about the challenges of opening a gourmet restaurant in a small town.
Nigella Lawson wrote in her restaurant column in The Spectator in August 1985: “John Kenward cooks like an angel.”
The evening costs £10 to include wine and nibbles with profits going to charity. Contact Jenny Ridgwell on 07944 043539 or email email@example.com
