Past life of snack bar

THIS fine shop in Station Street, Lewes, was run in the 1950s by a firm called Jenkins and Stripp.

The photograph was taken by Reeves of Lewes and shows the staff (unknown to Rouser) standing outside what looks like a well equipped tobacconist-cum-newsagents.

For those in the know, the shop is now the Snack Bar, offering daily lunchtime food.
