Peacehaven Town Council appeal for help with Queen’s Diamond Jubilee

PEACEHAVEN Town Council is keen to make this year’s special events go off with a bang and wants your help to make it happen.

The council is planning celebrations for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and the 2012 Olympics but wants to hear from the following groups: former or current Olympians who live in the town; couples celebrating diamond weddings on the same weekend that the Queen is celebrating the Jubilee and people who are going to be 60 on the Jubilee weekend.

Town council assistant clerk Steve Keogh said: “Although I am sure there will be much celebrating it would be great if the town could be part of it and maybe make some or all of these people the guest of honour at the event in the park.”

If you are one of the above groups or know of anyone who may be interested in getting involved with the celebrations then contact Steve Keogh on 01273 585493 or email townclerk@peacehavencouncil.co.uk.
