Peacehaven twins embark on mission to help South African school
Nataly and Jessica Spice
ADVENTUROUS twins Nataly and Jessica Spice, both aged 17, are planning to embark on a mission to repaint and repair an old school in South Africa.
As if that wasn’t enough the Peacehaven sisters are also going to climb the Drakensberg Mountains, the highest mountain range in South Africa at 3,482m.
The girls are both attached to the Newhaven army cadets unit and were selected from over 500 applicants across the country to take part in the exciting challenge.
They are doing the expedition to achieve their Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award.
The expedition will take place in August 2012 but in order to participate the twins need to raise a whopping £1,000 each.
Peacehaven Town Council is supporting their goal to raise funds for their charity efforts by holding a quiz night on Thursday April 5, 2012. To enter a team contact the town council’s information office on 01273 – 585493 ext 1.
The girls will also be wearing Peacehaven Town Council T-shirts on the trip.
