Police appeal after Lewes charity shop raided
An appeal for witnesses has been made following a mean-hearted raid on a charity shop in Lewes.
Two men jumped out of a van in the loading bay outside the Red Cross shop in Station Street late on Saturday (January 26) afternoon and proceeded to pose as workmen by taping up the front of the premises.
They then kicked in the door and entered the shop, escaping with two charity collection tins.
Anyone with information which can help to trace the culprits can contact the shop on 01273 481075 or email spot@overdose.com
