Police make appeal after A26 tragedy

POLICE have made another appeal for witnesses after a male motorcyclist died in a collision.

It happened on the A26 between Newhaven and Lewes at 5.20pm yesterday afternoon (June 24).

The motorcycle collided with a HGV.

The biker died as a result of his injuries in the collision.

Police want to talk to anyone who travelled north between South Heighton and Beddingham.

They may have seen a moped/scooter travelling south at the time.

Any witnesses call police on 0845 60 70 999 quoting Operation Cheldon.
