Skippers Hill Manor Preparatory School is providing bursaries for children
SKIPPERS Hill Manor Preparatory School in Five Ashes is providing bursaries to children between the ages of four and nine for up to 100 percent of fees.
The scheme means parents can provide their children with local private education although they would not otherwise afford it.
Successful candidates will be able to benefit up to the age of 13.
They will be available for up to 15 local children as part of a new foundation set up in memory of former owner, Sydney Assayag, who died unexpectedly in November last year, aged 61.
The foundation has been set up by Sydney's widow, Maxine, who has taken over as sole owner of the 100-pupil co-educational school that her parents founded in 1945.
She said: "Sydney would have loved the idea of supporting the local community this way."
