SPEEDWAY RIDER CHARGED

Speedway rider James Clement has been charged with three offences following a fatal crash.

The collision happened just ater 5am on Saturday, September 17, on the A27 at Worthing.

Mr Clement was arrested after the accident and has now been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, grievous bodily harm and dangerous driving.

Mr Clement, aged 20, of Lower Horsebridge, will appear at Worthing Magistrates Court on Monday, October 24.

He has ridden in second-half events at Eastbourne Speedway as a junior rider and has appeared for both Wimbledon and Weymouth in speedway's Conference (third division) League.
