Stop smoking hotline to help West Sussex people kick the habit

A new stop-smoking hotline has been set up to help West Sussex smokers kick the habit.

The line will be open during office hours, Monday to Friday, with trained advisers ready to offer advice on ways to quit.

The NHS said its stop-smoking service had increased the success rate of quitting by up to four times, with 3,600 smokers across the county stubbing out their habit last year.

The service can also help people who are looking to join support groups or individual sessions.

People can also get help free of charge from GP practices, local community centres and pharmacists.

For advice call the hotline on 0300 100 1823.
