Sussex man, 23, dies after motorway crash

A 23-year-old man has died after his car collided with a tree.

The driver, from Polegate, was driving on the M4 at around 6.50pm on December 20.

His blue Peugeot 306 left the carriageway and hit a tree between junctions 12 and 13.

He was taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital for treatment.

Thames Valley Police confirmed the driver died at the hospital yesterday (Tuesday).

A Reading coroner said a post mortem was taking place today.

The dead man's name has not yet been revealed.
