Two rescued after Stone Cross collision

Two people were rescued from their vehicles after a collision in Stone Cross on Thursday (January 2).

Firefighters from Eastbourne and Pevensey released two people after the collision on the B2104.

The collision happened at around 4pm.

Crews from South East Coast Ambulance Service also attended the scene.

A spokesman for East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said: “Crews were called out at 4.09pm to the B2104 at Stone Cross to an incident involving two private vehicles.

“Assistance was given to paramedics.”

The spokesman said the two people were released from the vehicles and were then taken to hospital in Eastbourne by ambulance.

Firefighters remained at the scene to make the area safe.
