Preparations are underway for the Uckfield Business Awards 2014 – organised to celebrate the achievements and diversity of the East Sussex town’s business community.
With backing from Uckfield Chamber of Commerce and support from Uckfield FM, the 2014 Awards are being co-ordinated by Neil Edwards from The Marketing Eye, Adrian Corbin from Scientifica and Gary King of Uckfield FM.
These are the second awards, following the success of the inaugural event in 2012. Once again, there are categories to suit every type of business in Uckfield, big or small. These range from Best Rural Business and Best Looking Shop, to Tradesperson of the Year and Customer Service Award. The highlight of the Awards evening – being held at the East Sussex National on Thursday November 6 next year – will be the presentation of Business of the Year and the Outstanding Achievement Award. The inaugural winner of Business of the Year was Challenge Packaging, while High Street jeweller, George Moss, picked up the Customer Service Award.
Robert Suckling from George Moss said: “Winning the award was a great accolade for us and something we’ve utilised in our marketing ever since. To be recognised by customers this way was really thrilling and it’s encouraged us to keep customer service at the forefront of everything we do.”
The Awards will be launched at the East Sussex National in February. If you would like to sponsor the 2014 awards and benefit from marketing opportunities contact Neil on: email@example.com.
