Uckfield musical extravaganza marks Paralympics

UCKFIELD’S Civic Centre Square comes alive on Sunday, September 9 with the town’s own free Bandstand Marathon event, marking the end of the London 2012 Festival and an amazing summer of sport and culture on the final day of the Paralympic Games.

Everyone is invited to go along, watch and listen to a jam-packed musical programme as part of the London 2012 Festival closing celebrations

It should prove a memorable day showcasing the best local talent and an eclectic musical programme. Taking part are the Uckfield Singers, Uckfield Concert Brass, jazz pianist Jamie Parsons, Fletching Singers, Uckfield Theatre Guild, Little Horsted school and Buxted Junior choir, Uckfield Concert Brass, Red Butler (a young band invited to play in Hyde Park during the Olympics, TGK, Carole Shirley and The Glyn Singers.
