Uckfield ‘women’s champion’ Kathryn stars on TV show
Kathryn Colas
Women’s champion Kathryn Colas from Uckfield made the most of an appearance on national television on Thursday, (October 18) to press home her campaign to get people talking openly about the symptoms of menopause.
Kathryn was a guest on ITV’s This Morning, shared a sofa with resident doctor Chris Steel and chatted freely with hosts Philip Schofield and Ruth Holmes.
An added bonus was the, almost immediate, publication afterwards of a story, picture of Kathryn and video clip from the show on the Mail Online website.
Kathryn said: “I am thrilled to have had this opportunity and to have been so supported by Philip Schofield, Ruth Holmes and Dr Chris. They all agreed that there should be more publicity about symptoms of menopause so that women know there is no need to suffer in silence. Many of the problems suffered can easily be remedied.”
Earlier this month Women’s Own highlighted Kathryn’s story, she has appeared in Woman’s Weekly and she is pleased that the media are helping to spread her message.
She added: “I will be pressing on with my campaign to get more people talking about this previously taboo subject and sharing information.”
