POLICE searched the Ashdown Forest today (Tuesday) for clues into the disappearance of a make-up artist.

Diane Chenery-Wickens, 48, of Duddleswell, near Crowborough, has not been seen since January 24.

Her husband, David Chenery-Wickens, was arrested on suspicion of her murder and released on police bail on Sunday.

Mr Chenery-Wickens, 51, reported his wife missing after, he said, she failed to meet him following a meeting in London.

He told police his wife had travelled from East Grinstead to London by train.

She was due to meet him after a meeting at the BBC but did not arrive.
