Wealden Citizens Advice has been awarded just over £300,000, through the Big Lottery Fund under the Advice Services Transition Programme. Half of the money comes from The Cabinet Office, to provide innovative ways of reaching people in rural areas.
The award builds on the Lottery’s historic role in funding the advice sector and responds to challenging circumstances advice providers and people depending on their services face.
Chief executive Caroline Mack said: “With demand higher than ever this will help us develop new ways of learning from each other and collaborating with a range of partners such as Age UK, East Sussex Disability Association, Homestart, Newhaven Community Development, Rotherfield St Martin, Hailsham Foodbank. “
