Families are being encouraged to wrap up warm and get outdoors with an action-packed week of activities in Hadlow Down.

Whatever the weather there will be something to tempt the kids outdoors at Wilderness Wood this half term.

Families can explore a network of trails around the 62-acre woodland and let off steam in the adventure playground.

There’s a busy schedule of activities including castaway adventures, fairy gardens, Gruffalo and bear hunts, bushcraft and Robin Hood.

Visitors can cook outdoors in a Wild Cookout or enjoy delicious locally sourced food and drink from the wood grill and in the lincensed Barn café. Wild Camping, courses and venue hire are also available.

On February 16 children can find the fairy glade and listen to a story about woodland elves.

Next day there’s a campbuilding venture into the woods to build a spectacular camp. Later on bears will be lurking in the woods but children can always bring their own on a bear hunt.

On Monday, people can try their hand at sculpting tree monsters or learn to make traditional loaves of damper bread over the camp fire.

Other adventures include expeditions, monster hunts and getting camouflaged. For details ring: 01825 830 509
