Witnesses sought after burglary at Uckfield home
POLICE appeal for witnesses to a burglary at a house in Manor Way, Uckfield between 11.30pm on Thursday, August 30 and 5.50am on Friday, August 31.
Thieves entered the property through a back door before stealing a wallet and handbag while the occupants were asleep upstairs. PCSO Jamie Harwood said: “This type of burglary is particularly upsetting for the victims and we continue to urge homeowners to lock all doors and windows at night or when leaving the property even for a short period. This was more than likely an opportunist thief who found an unlocked door. You can always call your local officers who will pop round to offer crime prevention advice.
