Woman still in hospital after collision

A WOMAN is still in hospital after three cars collided yesterday afternoon (June 30).

The accident happened at 1pm on the A271 at Hawkswood Road (Amberstone-Park Gate junction) near Hailsham.

Police said a silver Mazda allegedly went into the opposite carriageway.

It collided with two other cars - a silver Seat and a red Fiat.

The female driver of the Fiat suffered serious leg injuries.

She is still being treated at Eastbourne District General Hospital.

Another female driver suffered slight injuries.

Both sides of the road were closed for about one hour after the incident.

No arrests have been made.
