Young Chef of the Year Competition launched by Seaford Rotary Club

TALENTED young chefs are being given the chance to show off their skills in the Seaford Young Chef of the Year Competition.

It has been launched by Seaford Rotary Club and follows on from its successful Young Musician of the Year contest earlier this year.

Chefs need to be aged between 11 and 17 years on August 31, 2012 and live or go to school in the BN25 postcode area.

Contestants will be asked to prepare a healthy two course meal consisting of a starter or dessert and a main course, costing not more than £10.

The competition will be held at Newlands School, in Seaford, during the morning of Saturday November 10.

Rules for the competition and entry forms can be downloaded from the club’s website www.seafordrotary.org.uk

There is no charge to enter and the cost of ingredients will be refunded by the organisers.

Only a limited number of places are available so participants are advised to get their entries in well before the closing date on Wednesday October 31.

The rotary club will release more details of its second Young Musicians’ Competition soon, as well as a competition for Young Writers with three age groups from seven to ten years, 11 to 13 years and 14 to 17 years.
