Man arrested after indecent exposure in Seaford

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man indecently exposed himself to a passer-by in Seaford.

The suspect had alighted from a Brighton to Eastbourne bus at around 7.50pm on Saturday (January 2) when the offence occurred on the A259 Sutton Park Road.

The man was reported to be walking away from Seaford town centre towards the Downs View Leisure Centre and was described as white, 5’6” - 5’7”, and of large build.

He was wearing an unbuttoned padded black coat with a black top beneath and dark trousers. He was carrying a bag.

Anyone who saw the incident or who may have witnessed suspicious behaviour on the bus is asked to email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or phone 101, quoting serial 872 of 02/01.

A 45-year-old Eastbourne man has been arrested on suspicion of outraging public decency. After questioning, he was released on bail until January 29 while enquiries continue.
