Man assaulted on bus in Crowborough

Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault in which a 40-year-old man was attacked while on a number 29 Brighton and Hove bus in Crowborough.

The incident occurred on Thursday, December 10 after the victim boarded the bus in Whitehall Road, Crowborough, at 11.07am.

Shortly afterwards he was assaulted, but suffered no significant injuries.

Anyone who saw what happened is asked to email 101@sussex.pnn.police.hq or phone 101, quoting serial 557 of 10/12.

A 38-year-old man from Lewes has been arrested on suspicion of assault by beating. After being questioned he was bailed until Wednesday, January, 13 pending further enquiries.
