Man attacked outside Tesco in Lewes

A 21-year-old man was left cut and bruised after being attacked by a group of thugs by the river outside Tesco in Lewes.

The victim was approached on the footpath at about 10pm on October 3 by a group of men who began talking to him before punching him.

The group, of four or five, then ran away towards the playing fields. The victim suffered bruising to his face and cut to his eyebrow.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call 101 quoting serial 1548 of 3/10. Alternatively, call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
