Mayfield School achieves 100 per cent A Level pass rate

Mayfield School is celebrating its exam success after 100 per cent of its girls passed their A Levels.

More than a quarter of Mayfield pupils achieved three or more A*or A grades, while two thirds achieved at least one A* or A grade in challenging academic subjects. They also saw 75 per cent of pupils pass with A* to B grades

Impressive results across the board saw eleven subjects achieved 100 per cent A* to B grade passes, with biology, chemistry, maths and physics all achieving consistent success.

Particularly noteworthy was the 75 per cent A* to A grade pass in chemistry for a second successive year, and over two thirds of biologists achieving the same accolade.

The school's Cambridge Pre-U in Art and Design candidates achieved the top marks in the country, with more than 80 per cent achieving distinctions.

High achievers include Phoebe Toyne-Bridges from Wadhurst who studied English, maths and physics and achieved an A* and two As. She says she is delighted to be taking up a place at Exeter College, Oxford to read Law.
