The Lansdown Arms in Lewes held a ‘Time and Skills Auction’ to raise money for the Philippines Disaster Appeal.
In just over two fun-filled hours the pub managed to amass an amazing £2,225. The event was organised by member of staff Jo Fitchew, with her brother Chris as an amusing compere/auctioneer.
The lots on offer were wonderfully varied, and included a day’s tattooing, the services of three skilled carpenters for a day – and having your house modelled in gingerbread.
It showcased the talents of the many friends and regulars of the community pub. A Lansdown Arms spokesperson said: “Staff would like to thank all the pledgers and bidders who made this such a fantastic evening.”
