Motorcyclist dies after colliding with deer and tree in North Chailey

Sussex Police are appealing for witnesses to a fatal motorcycle collision this morning (August 13) near North Chailey.

Emergency services were called to the A275 at the junction with Beggar’s Wood Road at 6am where the motorcycle had collided with a deer and then a tree.

The 59-year-old rider from Cooksbridge sadly died from his injuries at the scene.

PC Kelly Newton said: “We are appealing to anyone who saw what happened to get in touch with us on 101 quoting Op Farnley or email”

A spokesperson for South East Coast Ambulance said: “Despite everyone’s best efforts the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.”
