Motorcyclist who died in North Chailey collision named

The motorcyclist who died yesterday (Tuesday August 13) near North Chailey has been named as Michael Joseph Eades.

The 59-year-old from Malthouse Lane, Cooksbridge collided with a deer and then a tree at 6am on the A275 at the junction with Beggar’s Wood Road.

PC Kelly Newton said: “Mr Eades sadly died from his injuries at the scene.

“We are appealing to anyone who saw what happened to get in touch with us on 101 quoting Op Farnley or email collision.appeal@sussex.pnn.police.uk”
