Sussex artist Sarah Gregson is painting a mural on the garden wall of the Stafford Road Open House in Seaford as part of Lewes Artwave (August 23 to September 7).
The mural is based on one of Sarah’s original paintings of Seaford Head.
Her daughter Dolly Demoratti, a Berlin based screen printer, is producing a limited edition tea towel of this same image.
Event spokesperson Robin Shell said: “Stafford Road Open House is much more than an open house.
“What makes this open house unique is that there will be Ukulele and Egyptian dancing performances followed by workshops so that visitors can have a go.”
Sixteen local artists have come together to put on a varied and exciting show where visitors will find jewellery, textile art, paintings, and photography.
Gourmet coffee and tea will be on sale from Jaju Beans & Leaves and hand-made soaps from the Little Seaford Soap Company plus delicious cakes in the gazebo.
Other workshops happening throughout the festival include, relaxation & easy meditation, silk painting, painting with water colours, mixed media painting, rag rugging and a yoga taster class.
