Commercial Square Bonfire Society will revisit a procession route which honours the Wallands Park Procession of the 19th century society.
This year its members will strike out on their own from the Elephant and Castle, taking in several streets around Commercial’s headquarters before heading along The Avenue, Park Road and Prince Edward’s Road to wait at Spital Road prior to their procession through Lewes town centre.
The procession route has not been used by the society for many years.
CSBS reassured residents they would not be denied the sight of its 1,000-strong membership, as they will still be conducting their procession of Remembrance to the War Memorial and rejoining the High Street later in the evening in all its splendour.
