The Friends of Tide Mills first meeting of 2013 will be on Sunday January 20 at 10am for around two hours, where new members are welcome.
At their last meeting in December The Friends collected 24 sacks of rubbish and a few bulkier items.
A total of 14 volunteers took part and afterwards enjoyed the annual Christmas picnic.
Friends chairman Jim Skinner said: “We thank all visitors for their help in trying to keep Tide Mills as it is by taking home, not just their litter, but additional items as well.
“One of our birding experts reported the sighting of several waxwings, on the nearby Ouse Estuary Nature Reserve, these beautiful and easily identified birds possibly staying until the spring.”
