A NEW Summer Fayre has been organised at Trinity Church in Willingdon from 10am to 4pm this Saturday, June 11.
Various music and competitions will be held. An assortment of stalls has been arranged with refreshments including Ploughman’s lunches. Lace making with an exhibition will be another treat.
Jennie Macfadyen, church secretary, said: “The aim of the day is to welcome members of our local community and demonstrate our commitment to developing links with and activities for all. Proceeds will go to church funds. The morning will start with the official opening ceremony to be conducted by Mr John Pritchett (Chairman of the Parish Council) and this will be followed by a display from the Kingfisher Scout Band.
“The day will include contributions from the Royal British Legion, Lace makers, WI, St John’s Ambulance, Downland Singers and the different sections of the Guide and Scout movements.”
