Former BBC South East Today newsreader Beverley Thompson tried out new tennis facilities at the Lions Boship Farm Hotel in Hellingly last week.

A new facility for tennis players was opened by Mr Sheikh-Abid Gulzar - the chair of Lion Hotels. He made improvements to the premises.

The tennis court is now open to the public.

Beverley said: “It is a great new facility for the town and I am sure it will prove to be very popular.”
