WATCH out for the head chef at Newick Park Hotel appearing on Channel 4’s The Secret Supper Club this weekend.
Chris Moore will join Saturday Kitchen wine expert Olly Smith for an episode based in Sussex.
Researchers for the programme travelled around the county last year interviewing chefs that would be ideal in front of the camera, as well as having great knowledge of the industry.
Chris has been the head chef at the award winning hotel for the past six years and has heavily contributed to its success.
Hotel manager Tom Hibbert said: “We are all very excited about the opportunity that Chris has been given to appear on national television.
“While it’s a fantastic opportunity for him we are keeping our fingers crossed that we can keep his feet on the ground and he stays at Newick Park instead of becoming the next Gordon Ramsay!”
Chris helped the production team forage food and wine for the special dinner at Breaky Bottom Vineyard in Rodmell near Lewes.
The show is a ten part series which takes Olly Smith around the country where he finds two food producers willing to help prepare and serve supper to ten mystery guests, somewhere unexpected.
Guests enjoyed tasting the many delights of food and wine offered by local suppliers from in and around the Lewes area.
The Secret Supper Club is on Saturday (April 16) at 3.55pm.
