A pensioner had a knife held to his throat as he sat on a bench in a terrifying robbery.

The 67-year-old man was sitting down at 6.30pm on Tuesday near public toilets off Falaise Road when he was approached by three men, one of whom held a knife to his throat and took his wallet containing cash.

Police immediately searched the area and arrested three suspects. The victim was not hurt and a quantity of cash was recovered. A 32-year-old and an 18-year old from St Leonards, and a 25-year old from London were being questioned.
