Two pupils from Moira House Girls School came home with a haul of trophies from a dance festival in Kent.

Ellie Mizen, Year 9, and Emma Walker, Year 6, competed in the Orpington Festival and achieved a staggering eleven first places, six second places and four third places.

The girls, who both train with Shining Stars Dance Academy and are Performing Arts Scholars at Moira House, were also selected from a large number of dancers to perform in the Premier Awards at the end of the week, for which they took home a trophy.

The pair also won a bursary for the highest marks in their age groups.

Ellie received trophies for Senior Greek, Senior National and Senior Aggregate and Senior Classical Duet, while Emma took home awards for Intermediate Greek, Intermediate National, Inter Stage Due, Inter Classical Trio and Runner Up Aggregate.

The Festival was a qualifier for the All England Competition, which the girls will now go through to.
