ANOTHER parking meter in Lewes has been damaged by a firework.
The latest attack took place on Saturday evening in Friars Walk.
East Sussex County Council, which runs the parking scheme in Lewes, is still assessing the cost of the damage but it is thought to be up to 500.
In the past two-and-a-half years more than 300,000 damage has been caused to meters in Lewes.
Meters in the town centre were removed or covered during the weekend and Monday morning in readiness for the bonfire celebrations.
All of the meters along the High Street were set to be removed and county council staff could be seen hammering protective metal casings on other meters.
