Firefighters tackle van blaze in Camber

Firefighters were called to tackle a van fire this afternoon (Tuesday, January 31).

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service (ESFRS) said the incident happened in Camber Road, Camber Sands just before 1pm.

A spokesperson said: “We were called at 12.59pm to reports of a vehicle fire on Camber Road, Camber. A van was alight.

“We used firefighting foam, a hose reel, breathing apparatus and a thermal imaging camera. There were no reports of injuries and it is thought to be accidental.”
