Plans for new library submitted

Plans for a new library to be built at number 36 in Newhaven High Street have been submitted to Lewes District Council.

East Sussex County Council has applied for planning permission to alter the ground floor use of the unit from retail to a library.

It has also asked to make alterations to the High Street elevation, including altered entrance arrangements, signs and lighting, as well as alter the North Lane elevation, including a new entrance and glazing. Visit www.lewes.gov.uk The planning application number is LW/3119/C
