A UNIQUE night of poetry, prose and traditional music will take place at Seaford Folk Club tonight (Friday January 21).
Seaford poet, Peter Martin and his wife Patricia will be reading poems from Peter’s book “Ghost Music – poetry and history of Seaford and the Cuckmere Valley” – published last year.
The poems will be interspersed with traditional music, with similar themes, sung and played on a range of instruments by Seaford musicians, Joy Lewis and Derrick Hughes.
There will also be short readings from the book by Seaford historian, Kevin Gordon.
Afterwards there will be an opportunity to buy signed copies of Peter Martin’s book and CDs by the musicians.
The event starts at 8pm at the Royal British Legion, Claremont Road.
There is no entry fee but a retiring collection will be taken.
