LITTLE did he know as he mopped up sick from his baby son’s bib that one day he would face a national award for enduring such domestic chores.

But that is precisely what has happened to Tom Briggs, aged 31, of Hailsham Road in Polegate.

Mr Briggs, who works as a copywriter for Cats Protection, began writing an internet blog diary after his son Dylan was born to his wife Kate last September.

His blog (www.diary-of-the-dad.blogspot.com) has now been shortlised for the national ‘Best MAD Baby Blog’ category for the Mum and Dad (MAD) blog Awards - recognising bloggers who share the ups and downs of their first year as parents. Mr Briggs will find out if he has won the category with a priced of £200 worth of baby equipment this September.

More than 3,000 people have already nominated their favourite parent blogs in 15 different categories. To vote for Mr Briggs visit: www.the-mads.com
