Perfume worth £6,000 was stolen from a town centre pharmacist in Seaford on Wednesday August 14.

Sussex Police are appealing for witnesses after thieves smashed their way into L Cameron and Son in Broad Street.

Officers were called to the store at about 3.50am after two men were seen smashing a hole in the shop window, before one climbed in and handed items out to his waiting accomplice.

They then left the shop and made off in the direction of Croft Lane with a perfume by Chanel, Gucci and Dolce and Gabbana.

Police said the burglars were wearing dark clothing and hoodies.

A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “We are not only appealing for any witnesses to the offence but to anyone who is offered any bottles of expensive perfume or fragrance at a low price, or knows of anyone who has suddenly acquired these sort of items.”

Anyone with information should call Sussex Police on the non emergency number 101 quoting serial 141 of 14 August.

Alternatively call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
