Sussex Police are appealing for witnesses after a house was broken into in Bishopstone.

The property in St Andrew’s Drive was entered between the morning of Wednesday October 30 and 9am on Monday November 4.

The glass was smashed in two doors to get into the building’s garage and then into the kitchen.

Police launched Operation Magpie to tackle burglary across the county.

Sergeant Stuart Mullins said: “The home was searched and it looks like the intruder was looking for valuables and cash to steal.

“At this stage we do not know exactly what has been taken but I am keen to speak to anyone who might have been in the area at the time and could have seen or heard anything suspicious.”

Anyone with information should call 101 quoting serial 344 of 4 November, email contact.centre@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
